That was Series 0. It was the season the was only aired in Japan and nowhere else.

Yu-gi-oh is a anime that is like a twist on pokemon. People battle with "duel monsters" and they have hit points and all that except the monsters aren't really real. The characters use their cards to projects holographic images on a playing field. The cartoon also has collectible cards that you can use to battle other people just like pokemon.
