I would have to say that the best movie was The Departed. However, my favorite movie was Snakes on a Plane (what a fun movie experience to go in, just enjoy what it is, and have everybody in the theater totally buzzed about seeing it).

Best guy movie: The Departed
My wife's favorite: The Queen. and I had to admit it was really well done too.
My son's favorite: Casino Royale. and I think Daniel Craig is the best James Bond since Sean Connery.
My daughter's favorite: Happy Feet. what can I say?
Not sure there was any best movie of 2006 that the whole family can agree on. We did all like Stranger than Fiction however.

"The Departed", a re-make of a Chinese thriller, "Internal Affairs". A Martin Scorcese movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, and a lot of action, suspense, violence and blood.

Casino Royale.
Instead of other movies (such as POTC 2) it wronged critics and was excellent, whereas some other movies that were highly anticipated ended up disappointing.

"Dream Girls" though i have only had the opportunity to watch movie trailer clips of the movie on line, i think all of the stars in the movie are great.definitely a good movie
