My dream last night had my friend step out of the shadows, with cuts on his face, underneath his eyes running down his cheeks. It looked like he was crying tears of blood. What could this mean? Today, I saw pictures of children with the same cuts on their faces. What is this symbolic of? What is my subconsious trying to tell me?

Your friend is not so different from the children. You care for both yet cannot help them.. You want to be able to change things in order to have a greater ability to help others who are in pain. Spend time learning how to heal self wounds, and then you will find a greater source of knowledge on how to assist and change things in other peoples lives for the better and thus bringing them out of the shadows and into the light (E.g. If your friends/family are having a hard time you will realise the best way to help resolve their problems and give good advice). Bad times pass, like when you stop crying. So embrace the good times because they are precious and not worth crying or beatng yourself up over.
I don't usually read dreams but this one was very familiar to me. Hope my insight helped.

you probably saw the peicture last night and just don't remember it. Most dreams have no meaning and are just dreams.
