To simplify things I like to buy everyone the same thing. Plus I had my bellydance teacher dance at my wedding reception, and I danced with her too. It's only like $15 but it's a chance to learn some bellydance! I don't really talk a lot to my cousins enough to know if they're into that stuff, but it seems like lately people are intrigued by bellydance, because of Shakira, etc. What do you think?

I think this would be a wonderful gift. Make sure there is a note explaining that "you thought they might enjoy learning something new and different, and you hope they really enjoy it. Maybe they can get together and learn it together." I personally never go dancing, and probably would be the last one someone would think to get this for, and yet I would love to get this gift!

I think it could be very fun, though I understand your concern. Another problem is that teachers are really the only way to really teach a dance type. You might include a note explaining you thought they might like to try it out, but remember, if you do get it, also include a note explaining that it won't really teach them to belly dance, just help them along the road. Sorry, I just kinda feel that these sort of things can give people the idea they know how to belly dance, and then they end up making fools of themselves in front of people who actually do. It's happened a lot, so I think as long as you clarify that this will not give them all the training they need to become belly dancers then, it should be great.

Lol, I have this set. I like it a lot, but that's me. I got it as a gift because I'd expressed an interest in belly dancing. I think it might be weird if you gave all of them the same present. I have an aunt that does that, and I always think it's because she doesn't actually want to think about what to get.

well i think you should at least find out if they like to dance. because if they don't they willn't really enjoy that gift. i would sugesst trying to maybe just getting a gift card to the mall or something, may not be as personal but at least you know they would like it.

I think it is a thoughtful and unique gift to give, but you could maybe give another simple and traditional gift with it. That way, they can get a unique gift and one that they will like for sure.

I think it is a very thoughtful gift, and it will show your cousins that you put some thought into the gift.
