Its not fair. Like if I say it to a black person I could get shot. But if he called a white person cracker nothing would happen

White people should take back the word cracker.

uh no I dont think you will get shot. nothing can "happen" to you either. I think you are just ignorant to the fact. The word n*gger was used as an offensive derogatory term for a black person. Nothing good so why would you want to say it to a black person anyway if you know it's gong to offend them.

The word defined, limited, made fun of, and ridiculed all Blacks. It was a term of exclusion, a verbal reason for discrimination. Whether used as a noun, verb, or adjective, it strengthened the stereotype of the lazy, stupid, dirty, worthless nobody. No other American surname carries as much purposeful cruelty.

c*racker which also is a deragatory term... shouldnt be used either. im black and dont go around calling white people that. that word meaning which is just similar to redneck or hillbilly which is world's away from the word n*gger which carries with it much of the hatred and disgust directed toward Black Africans and African Americans.

(even though now some black youth use it as a term of endearment. such as a universal greeting among young urban blacks such as What's up n*gga. It has been understood in this context. Many blacks say continiual use of the word by blacks make it less offensive. any also it's not really the same word cause whites are saying n*gger and n*ggers while blacks are saying n*ggah and n*ggaz. Say blacks shouldnt be prisoners of the past or the ugly words which orginated.

When I was In high school I used to kid around with my white friends with it but since we have stopped jsut for that simple fact. and how many people that lost their lives.

so noone should say either

hope it helps.

You can totally say it. It's still a curse word so you have to be careful, though and also Yahoo censors it. Even most radio station replace it with a record "scribble" sound in rap songs these days.

Referentially it's not too bad. For example "The script for Pulp Fiction has the word 'nXXXer in it 25 times." or "The rap group N.W.A.'s name stands for NXXXas with Attitude"

You should not CALL people nXXXer/nXXXa. You should not say "he, she or you are a nXXXer".

Even then, and even if you're white you can get around that. Here's how:

Make friends with a really ghetto black person, get to know them well until your friendship is casual but well established. One day they may refer to you as "My nXXXa!"

Then you can, in turn, refer to them as "nXXXa" as long as it's endearing and playful.

True story, I was waiting for a bus by the corner of Morris Park and White Plains Rd. in the Bronx. There's this black guy, early 20's, maybe late teens hanging out by a convenience store. This white guy, looking like he just rolled out of a trailer park rides down the street on a razor scooter. He had the whole deal: scruffy facial hair, white wife beater shirt, baseball cap, long hair (possibly a mullet).

The white rides up and goes "SXXt nXXXa, what are you doing here?"

Then they hi-5 and black guy goes "Aw... nXXXa, I didn't tell you my cousin was here and..." and they head off into the store together.

So, you know, it's situational.

It's hurtful and mean. It's not a joke! We take it very seriously, im tired of how people can't get their way and get heartbroken over it. Like people say white people could become a minority in the next 30 years, blah blah, you just wanna feel superior. Your time's running out!

1) Why the hell would you want to use the N
word?Only complete idiots use it.

2) Are you a child? Nobody should call anybody a bad name.If someone is immature enough to call you something try to ignore them.

3) I don't see why anybody would want to use cracker or the N word. They are both bad.

4) This question is so pointless. How long does it take for people like you to grow up?

the "n" word is based on Hate-there is no positive historical conotation whatsoever in its history-NO ONE-including african americans should use the "n" word because it makes dumb people such as yourself think that its somehow OK, NOT! "Cracker" (at least could be a Ritz) to the best of my knowledge was never scorched in a lawn or found next to some white person who was swaying from a noose in a tree...

Because its immature, stupid, and really until you have faced what many ethnicities and minorities, black, spanish, korean, etc face, it shouldnt be used. It has a negative history behind it. The same way the holocaust does in many other people's eyes. Doesnt matter who you are, you shouldnt use it, so get over it, and move on, like many of us already have. It's not that important and Im sure you wont lose any sleep tonight over it, if you do, count sheep!

Not sure but it isn't fair cause the white person gets arrested for saying that but if a black person calls a white person a name it's okay it just isn't right.

What is with this stupid question? You know exactly why you should not say it, no one should say the word. And cracker doesnt have a qaurter of this history that the N word has. Neither is appropriate to say...

The N word just shows how un-educated people are and the people that use it are. The black people that use that word are not usally the cream of the crop and the white people that use that word probably don't know anything about black culter or histroy, and if they do them they probably are just saying it to make (black) people mad.
