Today, I bought my boyfriend a hat with his initials on it. It's a Christmas present, and it's now well hidden in my roommates' bedroom.

My question is whether or not this is a nice gift. He's been bemoaning his lack of a hat for a while now (since my cat ate his last one O.o) and we've been together for 4 years, so need and familiarity aren't much the trouble. I'm more worried about originality, and, of course, his opinion.

If someone got you a hat that you needed, in your favorite color, with your initials, would you like it? (Please be aware, I'm bored out of my mind.)

It occured to me just now that I should have made my cat buy it. It would have served her right. *mildly insane, too much soda*

Yes. I think it is a great idea. Especially because it shows that you've paid attention to small things like a hat your cat ate in the relationship. Those gifts are the most meaningful.

as a cap wearer I feel naked without a cap when I go out side.
he probably feels the same way, and it should be the perfect gift.
I have several favorite caps, and like to wear different one on different occasions.

i think that the fact that you remembered something that he mentioned and used it to get the ideal gift will make it special on its own. I'm sure he will love it.

yes, its a nice gift and gesture. remember its not the gift that counts its the thought. and search your heart what is it telling you? is it enough? depends on who he is, if he'll understand the gesture and the thought behind it. good luck.
