I have two Idea's. One would be to enroll him in Karata. It does wonders for peoples self esteem. That may be one of the problems with your stepson. If he feels bad about himself and gets teased this is probably why he is lazy. He may even be depressed, maybe you should check on that. The other is to get him a gym membership, you could take him and maybe excerise with him, if he sees other males that are building their muscles maybe it would give him some insentive. It would also give you time with him in a postive atmosphere and may help your relationship with him.

Inline skates, skateboard, bike. Point out he could practice moves on them like in the video games (like Tony Hawk games vs. skateboarding, for example).

The Nintendo Wii makes you get up and move around to play games. It also mentions that you can pause the game at any time and go outside to play.

Gift cards for the following...
-a week at a fitness place
-dozen donuts
-2-3 free movies on pay-Per-View
-a dinner for two at a real fancy restaurent
-luxury or sprots car rental
-sports tickets
-a package of stamps
-bags of chips - one of every flavour!
-case of pop
-batteries (perhaps for the remote?!)
Psssst... if he's that lazy, he won't use any of them 'cause it'll involve effort in getting there! Soooooooo....
All you need to do is re-claim the cards and use them yourself!!!!
Have FUN!

Get him a book, maybe he'll get into reading. That's better than video games. I'd suggest "Redwall" or "The Hobbit", those are both good books.

If he is lazy, I suggest setting up a HUGE "treasure hunt" to find his "really cool gift" and by the time you make him climb a tree, ride his bike around the block, and run up the stairs...he will find his gift..

He needs something that will inspire physical activity. There are physically interactive video games that might be good
