Does the wealthy really out number the poor to prevent them from ever succeeding in life?

you learn spending habits and lifestyles as a child then repeat them as an adult. the same statement can be said for overweight parents. they usually have overweight children because of the learned behavior of eating. there are always exceptions however, so keep this in mind.

Well, first of all, the poor don't necessarily stay poor and the rich don't necessarily stay rich. It IS harder for someone from a poor family to class-jump because they are less likely to have the financial and social support necessary to do so, but it certainly isn't impossible. Wealthy families tend to value education more because they (the parents) tend to be more educated themselves, and they pass those values on to their children. They are also better able to pay for their children's education, etc.

While there are scholarships and other financial support systems in place to help the poor get better educations and become more financially stable, the simple fact that their parents are less likely to place value on education puts them at a disadvantage. And it really isn't that poor people are lazy (How could you call someone who works two full-time jobs to support their family lazy?). I am NOT saying that they don't care, they simply have a different perspective. Also, scholarships tend to go to the best students, so an average poor student would have very limited prospects as far as financing education.

False statement.

85% of "rich" people in America did not start out rich. Most of them started out middle class or poor.

Read the Millionaire Next Door if you are interested about this phenomena.

Also most poor people don't stay poor. As they age and their skills improve, they generally move up the ladder and become middle class. They are replaced by the young and recent immigrants.

What you are saying is not true. People overcome their poor upbringings to make money all the time. People who inherit money lose it all the time. It is up to YOU! Wealthy people dont spend 1 second thinking about keeping poor people down. That is a LIE made up by people who either are making excuses for their own failures or trying to get you to follow them somehow, like some "leader". THINK FOR YOURSELF. READ REAL BOOKS, dont get all your information from the Internet, where anyone can write anything. BECOME EDUCATED, READ BOOKS, THINK, read about how people made money. WORK HARD, DONT BUY USELESS JUNK, SAVE MONEY, INVEST IT WISELY.

there many reasons that will you receive and i do not need to repeat them..two stands out in analysis....ownership of America. one percent of American citizens own 50% of its wealth.there is a cohesive ruling class that shapes the social and political climate and plays a dominate role in the ecomony and government with the goal of promoting its own self-interest and those that work for them. an example is Washington DC...it has its "network" of 60% multimillionaire senators and congress(example-senators from CAL...Boxer and feinstind(multimillionaires) monied, politically sophisticated individuals while 37% of the same city's residents read at a third -grade level or lower...secondly, immigration....USA used to get the intelligent immigrants so called "brain-drain" now days, its the very-poor and uneducated illegals that Mexico is sending to the US to protect the one percent owners of Mexico from a revolution...there very few economic patrons to help these people such as the "the ole boy network(Yale, Harvard countryclubs.)..middleclass puts money into 401ks to try to have something to retire on..this fuels Kmart, walmarts etc and low wages is best for the "returns"...there is the ole saying, i want my kid to go to a good school in order to find a good job at a good company...i want my kid to go school get educated and buy a good company....wealth begets wealth...

Mind set. This is not a true statement unless you make it true. People change through the influence of people and reading, so it maybe true that poor children have goals and ideas paralleled with other poor people. Again, they can change this.

I don't agree with your statement. The reasons why the poor remains poor is bcos they never strive in anything in life, therefore remains that way. While the rich are able to capture the economy is bcos they are financially capable. At this point nobody is born a loser nor winner.
