Color cartridge is brand new and was working fine then starting showing the "remove and check" message.
Have cleaned it twice and still get the same damn message!!!!
How do I fix this damn thing?!

Replace the cartridge. The electronics can be compromised for many reasons. if the printer is near a heat source, static, oils from your hand, excess moisture...
You can try gently wiping the contacts on the back of the cartridge gently in one direction with a pink eraser, this will remove any residue that may be preventing the printer form recognizing the cartridge. Clear of the debris and re-install.
Chances are however that the cartridge is itself is not going to function again, you will need to replace it.

Most of the time you need to access the printer settings, and find the tool to reset the utility to indicate that you've put a new cartridge in the printer. Often it doesn't reset by itself and needs to be "told" that.
