I would love to move to Croatia in near future. However I would like to know what field of study would be good to take? I would like to have a reliable career when I move to Croatia.

I'm wondering if being deaf would affect anything? I'm wondering because people there seems to treat me way better than most american does. However I keep hear american tell me I wouldn't have a chance at all, but most american has never been oversea, let lone even knowing where Croatia is.

I would really appericate any info on those.

It's really difficult to find a job in Croatia. Most Croatians would actually love to find a job. And once you do find a job, most do not pay well, and if you are familiar with the country then you know that it is quite expensive and it's difficult to make ends meet.

But I don't blame you for wanting to move there - gorgeous!!!

The one branch of industry that Croatia seems to rely upon, apart from fishing, is tourist industry, so I suppose it might be your best bet... I am really not sure what is Croatians' attitude towards deaf people, but overall they appear to be friendly and helpful. Good luck.

You must consider the fact that people were nice to you as a tourist, but would they consider you as a potential employer? I am not sure that situation there is better than in your country. I found for you this site: CroDeafWeb (www,crodeafweb.net), but only impressum is available on english. The fact is, unfortunately, that is very hard to find job for anybody, and for people with disability is twice harder.
