It would really help if you specified which version of the game you were playing, since they're five out at the moment, not counting Mystery dungeon, but I'll help the best that I can.
Geodude's are found in practically any cave. The first you'll come across in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald is Granite cave, where they're fairly common. In Fired red/Leaf green, the first cave you come across is Mt. Moon. again, they're fairly common but Zubat are more common though. Geodude doesn't appear on the Gamecube versions, you'll have to trade between the GBA games.

In the Red/Blue/Yellow versions, Mt. Moon, the Rock Tunnel, Seafoam Islands (?), the Mysterious Dungeon, and Victory Road are places you can look

Which game?
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald- cave/use rock smash on a rock and sometimes is a geodude.
Pokemon Firered/Leafgreen- Use rocksmash on rock/ Mt.moon/caves

u can find easily geodude in any caves in any pokemon games.it's very common.

you get geodude in a cave and if you've seen one just look in your pokedex and click area.
