The jokes are funny to girls, I tell my friends stuff and they crack up, and my class laughs if I crack jokes up.

I think everybody's parents say that. Read Jay Leno's biography--they did it, too. Bill Cosby's mother did not take the news well when he told her he was going to be a professional comedian (according to him, she had to lay down for seven weeks). And it's usually not a point of pride for parents to recognize their kids as especially funny. In fact they may fear their kids being outcast as a buffoon or clown, despite other special abilites.
The 'generation gap' theory is pretty valid-- they laugh at different things, and your comedy might not even strike them as original, because it reminds them of comedians (or even relatives!) they've already seen in the past. To your younger friends, it may seem fresh.
Finally 'funny', like 'delicious' , is a very subjective term. I happen to not like slapstick very much, but enjoy a clever turn of phrase a lot of people may find boring. Dennis Miller or Bill Maher making a glib reference to a certain current event is not quite the same as Jim Carey talking out of his buttocks. But many people would describe each of these as 'funny'.

Everyone has a role to play in a family. Sometimes that family assigned role doesn't match the person you are in the world outside your home. In other words, perhaps your parents don't know you that well or maybe they don't understand your sense of humor. Just be yourself and keep bringing the funny to your friends.

Your parents don't share same sense of humor. Most likely your behavior pattern differs when with friends own age & with your parents.
However your parents appreciate your many other quailities & love you dearly.
Many times I do not laugh at my daughters jokes as I find them too childish, naive & somehow not funny.

You r parents might just be trying to bring your hopes down so if and when your comedic career does not work out you are not as surprised! Have you ever thought they were laughing at you not with you!

sometimes people laugh just to be nice. Your parents are not obligated to do that, they should always be honest with you.
or
maybe your parents need to lighten up!

You know your parents might not like it. I would ask them are they serious or is there something you would rather see me do. My mom is the same way.
