you can do what you want. the question might be, if it is appropriate for the type of event. and that will depend on your dress, boots, the party setting and your body frame.
I went to 2 christmas parties (work and friends) in boots. but not in a red dress.
good luck

Sure, kust keep in mind...knee high boots make you look shorter so if you are short to begin with, look for ones that have a heel (3 or 4 inches)

i think of boots could be wonderful, yet by using fact the gown is in simple terms black i could look at a colourful pump it relatively is definitely attractive. Jessica Simpson has multiple attractive heels out suitable now. and you would be able to even have the means to locate some large heels on clearance suitable now - or attempt a shop like burlington coat manufacturing facility.

Wear whatever you want to. Who knows, maybe you will start a new fad/trend. Just enjoy the party.

It depends. No cowboy boots. No boots unless color of green, red, or black. No boots if heels are ugly. No boots if your feet feel heavy. I hope I answered your question.

Sure, it sounds really cute. I wouldn't wear that to a formal party, though.
