Just watched a documentary on the history channel that basically says we are. Why are we so hung up about a nature act?

From my european point of view, it is weird and obscene to allow firearms, behave like the world police, keep millions of citizens in poverty, practice racism every day and on the other side act totally crazy about political correctness and sexual harassment. When I am on a business trip in the USA I have to take care that I am not sent to jail after a flirt. What strikes me even more is that the USA has by far the largest porn industry in the world.

that's why the Muslim countries are so down on us. They call us "The Great Satan" because our society is so full of sin.
Just remember the hypocrites, though. Atta, and all the other ones that pulled off 9/11 were in a titty bar a few nights before. If they have no problem drinking alcohol, and watching girls doing naughty things while hanging onto poles, then what was their purpose for 9/11?

It's nothing to worry about. I would imagine that much of it may have to do with the founding spirit of the US, which was quite prudish, and Victorian. To the British, Victorian mentality was simply a trend, and it passed. In America, it became the underlying, social consciousness, because the country's reigning philosophy was formalized during that era. Also consider what "repressed" means - I think they simply have a different way of looking at the topic, that's all.

We are suppressed until we reach 19. Then, all hell breaks lose. HAHA, well, most of us get fed up with the suppression a lot sooner, however I heard a good quote recently that explains some of what others view as suppression. "If the private citizen does not rnforce the law, then there is no law." We enforce the laws we know, and most in america know Biblical law, which makes us self suppressors, right?

How can we say, as Americans, that we are sexually repressed when all we see on television, in music and everywhere we turn is sex. If we were so sexually repressed we wouldnt have babies having babies or the slogan "sex sells". Look at Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, or any other pop star as one of our prime examples of how NOT sexually repressed we are

If you think we're sexually repressed you must be a major whore. Any society that glorifies a prostitute like Paris Hilton or Pamela Anderson is not sexually repressed. You are just sexually obsessed.

inEurope people tend to love personalities before gender
In the USA it has to be the oposite sex ,however uggly.
and people are stuck on being with people of the same age ,otherwise it is weird .

we seem to open to just about anything, I don't think we are repressed at all , maybe to free willing .
