I think that at that age you are more valuable and can get hurt easier because you have not experienced life enough to gain skills needed in a romantic relationship. Also when you are young your brain has not completely developed yet so many reasoning skills are not yet there enough for you to deal with all that comes with having a boyfriend. Lastly I feel that the point of having a boyfriend is to gain knowledge about a person so that you can see if you compatible enough to be life partners. You have so much of your life to live finding some1 you want to spend the rest of your life with, is very unlikely especially because you will change a million times before you are ready to date and so will the guy you are with which is why many people grow apart. So hold off on a boyfriend you have plenty of time for that sweetie!

I would not allow my daughter to have a serious relationship with a boy at 13. Is it ok for you to like a boy at 13? Sure. Discuss this with Mom or Dad. They may allow you to see this boy but with proper supervision.
