I have to admit, 2006 was a pretty rough year. I was involved in a bad car accident, where I was rear-ended and my car was totaled. I was pushed into the truck in front of me, so I was actually sandwiched in between both vehicles. I have had major back surgery, because they found a tear in 2 of my discs. I have had major complications from the surgery. I have to use a walker to get around. I am only 48, so I consider this pretty young. This was all caused by the accident. I have been placed on permanent disability and have had to file with Social Security. I will never be able to work again. I am a single parent, with 1 boy in college and another one getting ready to go to college. Their father is not in the picture, by his own choice. (Actually, he only wants to be in the picture when he wants something from the boys.) My oldest son has Multiple Sclerosis and has had a pretty rough year, with quite a few relapses. But, through it all, I can still give thanks to the Lord for everything I do have. I have a roof over my head, I have plenty of food, clothing and love and support from a wonderful family. There are plenty of people out there who are much, much worse off than I will ever be. When things look so bad, that I don't think I can make it through another day, I turn to the Lord and give thanks for what I do have and pray for the ones who don't have as much. Good luck to you and your family. There is always a brighter side to everything. Just trust in the Lord!

Its been a tough one for me also.I learned so much about myself about others, and just about life. Next year i will be a much stronger mentally /emotionally,independent, and protect my heart more. We are almost near the end of 2006 i plan on having a get together and bring the new year with a new attitude, new outlook, and letting some people go who allow to hold me back. I have a good feeling that 2007 will be my year because i will be a much wiser person. I wish everyone else the same : )

It honestly really was for me. I went thru several jobs getting laid off at each one. I had a lot of problems with my daughter this year who is 15. She stole a car & I didn't raise her to do such a thing. Then, she moved in with her biological dad who didn't even have anything to do with her until she was 9 & little then. On a good note, she did come back home after 3 weeks of seeing the grass isn't greenier on the other side. I've been in a major state of depression. My doctor even put me on medication for it. I've been living week to week 'cause it seems like groceries & gas eat up your whole paycheck that you worked for the entire week. My husband & I seperated due to all the stress for about 2 weeks. I lived with my sister. There's lots more, but I don't wanna be the big whiner here~ I'm hoping for better times in the upcoming year.

Year 2006 is a trying year for me. But I don't see it as a bad year, cos I always believe that life is teaching me something. I look forward to the new year cos I believe that the good days are ahead!
