Yes it is his real life son. I saw them on an interview on some TV magazine show and the kid is highly intelligent and freakin adorable. If I were 5 or 6 I'd be in love.

sure it is Jaden Smith. He were given the section in the movie by using testing for the function and coming back for each callback. Will Smith did not pull any strings to get him that section. even though it constructive made it very touching and accessible.
