ive had a really bad migraine for the past two weeks. my doctor gave me this stuff and its not working at all! i need to get to sleep but i cant i just sit in bed crying and i took tylenol pm and hour ago. what can i do to get to sleep?

So sorry to hear about your pain....Your symptoms tell me you have a classic migraine and the only way you are gonna get rid of it is to go to the ER and get a shot......If the medication the doctor gave you isn't working, then that's your only option....You can try an ice pack on your head but I doubt you would be able to tolerate the pressure, I've been there many times...If you go to the ER, have someone take you or they won't give you the shot. Also make sure they give you something for the nausea as well. Take the medication the doctor gave you with you to show the ER doctor.... Go ahead and call into work now, because there is such a thing as Migraine hangover. You will feel really weak, and very tired....I hope this helps a little.....PS: two weeks is a very long time to have a headache...I would insist my doctor do a further workup......

Yeh, sorry to hear that. My mum has thoughs.. What she does to get rid of them and get to sleep is take some vitiams to prevent and stop the cause of migraines.
It's called apple vinager. I think it tastes gross.. But some people like it. That gets rid of those meanie migraines.
And to get to sleep my mum rubs the back of her neck.
It's the part between her neck and her head with that dent between the two.
She rubs that for about 4 min and that makes her relax and sleep. Hope that helps :)

The above suggestion about apple vinegar sounds good, it can't hurt. Also try avoiding caffeine and MSG. MSG is in most prepared foods, especially fast foods, candy, cookies, cold cut meats and canned food.

my mom and younger sister get them bad, like I usually have to take them to the hospital because they are spewing, I guess I use to get them and spew but don't remember it. But, luckily, I got hit by a semi, nearly killed me.

if you have had it for 2 weeks you need to go to the emergecy room. Have a friend drive.
