I live near where a couple of them took place. Do you remember the fear we lived with ....getting out of my car at the gas station to was horrifying. Some gas stations put up tents ...what about your memories? People would get out of their cars and zig zag jog to wherever they were going.

I heard about that. I didn't live in any of those areas, but I believe it must had been intimidating actually standing outside your house.

Yes, I remember those, even tho I live in Nevada. I remember them showing the pics of the people at the gas stations and the fear in their faces. I really felt sorry for all those that were in the area when it was happening. I am so glad that they finally caught the 2 guys.

How totally terrifying that you had to live in fear like that. I remember when it happened. I was living in Chicago at the time. So it was kind of far away. But still scary never the less. Crazy people in this world don't seem to know how precious life really is, and its sad and sick.
It makes me mad that people have such a disregard for other peoples lives. I am glad you reminded all of us of that horrible event. It was a tragic event and god bless all who lost their lives.

I live in the Northeast and luckily didn't have to deal with it. I remember thinking about how scary it must of been just going to work, the supermarket or the gas station. Unfortunately this is what happens in a society that trust it's citizens with fire arms that are made for killing. How about blaming the NRA? The kind of guns used for this are made to kill people and not hunting. A real hunter would use a bow and arrow, so all of you NRA nut jobs know what you can do to yourself

man was that crazy, i remember that i had to get gas at night i was the only outside at the pumps and there was this white car across the street (empty)but dead ahead in front of me,facing right at me and i had to get gas,was i nervous. I put a dollar stopped walked around the car to keep moving as to not get shot put another dollar walked around to keep moving until i finally went inside and told the clerk of the car who told me the car was there for days already.......remember the sniper was shooting at all people,at all times,was at large shooting people dead at gas stations for days and days, everyday,i felt stupid but i wasn't an easy target to kill as stupid as that looked then and sounds now

I didn't live in the area, but I know the fear you all lived in everyday. Why do people want to do such crazy stuff like this when they know that sooner or later they will get caught. this is a terrible way to treat people.

Yes. They had to cancel all my soccer games. When it ended my season went way into nov.
Also i was so scared of white vans everyone i saw i thought it could be them...they didn't even drive a white van when they were caught it's just what everyone thought they drove.
And my sister was scared to go to school and my mom had to drive her there.
What a year...2002 i think?

Oh that snipper I think he got my dogs tail.
People were overly scared. They really dropped the story. You heard very little after they got caught.
Ohio had a sort of copycat sniper a bit afterwards. People here were just paranoid and wouldn't go on highways. Baby Boomers are such scaredy cats.
