Maybe a stereo that he has to use tools to put it together. I know that is not even possible to really find but i wanted to have a little fun. I go by this.... what do you think he needs at this moment. if both are what he needs get what you think he will really like the most. Even if does like both equally there is one thing that he will always like. I would go with the tools. Anyone can get him a stereo. Tools is like you really thought of what to get.

Many years ago, I think Radio Shack was the place to buy electronic kits for people who liked to assemble things. If your dad likes tools and stereos, maybe Radio Shack has a stereo kit that comes in pieces and your dad would enjoy building.

This year they have come up with the neatest new tool. It is an automatic adjustable wrench tool. They are only like $30 but really handy and he would like it and use it a lot. I got one for my dad this year. I also got him a shop vac because his tool shop has a lot of sawdust and this makes it easy for him to clean up.

Tell him you couldn't ask for a better dad in this world and that you love him. And then keep the money that you would have used for the gift.
