i speak so fast tat people couldn;t understand wat i m sayin n i had to repeat it ..n even then sometimes they can't understand ..may i know the reason and how can i avoid it ..i thought of speakin slow but words comes out my mouth suddenly ..as if someone is forcin em outside ..bcoz of this problem i m unable to give seminars n any speech .. i got some inferiority complex ..plzzzz some one help me out ..and wat i have to do to control my speech and plz i want answers as soon as possible coz after three to four months i have to deliver seminars .. plzzz help me out .. try to open your mouth and speak....meaning...not literally...but still...opening your mouth while speaking will make you sound clear...and automatically will reduce your speed cause you will waste more time in opening your mouth,...

Try to be sure to enunciate all the sounds of each word. By speaking every single sound...you will need to open your mouth and close your mouth appropriately...which will give the listener an easier time understanding you.
One of my daughters does this some times...she just needs to speak clearly by pronouncing all of the sounds of each word.

I speak fast too. I think my voice is anoyying so that nobody wants to listen to me- they always interrupt. I started speaking fast so I could finish before people cut me off.
Maybe you do the same thing (subconsciously).
Smiling while you talk forces you to slow down, but mostly just concentrating when you talk helps. I know you don't think it helps now, but if you do something often enough, it becomes habit.

Practice reading. When you read, read the whole word. Don't skim through. focus on each word. focus on saying the entire word as you read it. One thing that you will notice in public speaking is; the speaker talks in clear and steady thought. The biggest mistake people make in public speaking is that if they don't talk fast people will lose interest

I used to speak fast too.
U just got to work on being more patient with people and u will be fine. Try to read slow also.
