I want to get someone an I Pod shuffle, but which one? 512 MB or1 GB? What is the difference?

the 1 gb has more memory so it will hold more songs

1 GB holds more music than the 512 MB. I personally would get the 1 GB. There's not much of a difference price-wise.

In case you're curious, I checked it out and a 1 gig ipod will hold approxomatley 215 songs (I made a play list that was 1.03 gigs and it held 215 songs all between 4 and 5 minutes long)
A 512 mb ipod will hold roughly half that.
For the difference in price, it's probably worth it to get the 1 gig (unless your friend doesnt have that much music to listen to)

The bigger the better. A 512MB shuffle holds roughly half as much data/music as the 1GB shuffle. You could get the person a 2G Nano for about the same price, and have alot more room for music!

It depends. Will they have a lot or a little bit of songs? Get them the 1G if they like lots of music and 512 MB if like too have just a small dose of music each day.

difference if how many songs you can fit on it.... I wouldn't get the shuffle because you can't see the titles of the songs you are playing and you have to shuffle around to find one that you want to listen to at that time.... get a nano they are a bit cheaper then the other ones

they are different sizes. 512 is 120 songs and 1 gb is 240 songs

Go with the 1gig, it'll hold twice the amount of songs that the 512 will hold :D

shuffles suck dont get one. but the 1 gb is bigger
