Breastfeeding doesn't make you tired or extra hungry. You may feel tired because your having to wake up during the night to breast feed the baby. You'll be extra tired because you wont get to take long naps because they baby will need to be fed.
But as for breastfeeding, making you tired or hungry, the answer is no.
The only thing breastfeeding does is to help you lose weight faster because it makes your uterus contract and go down faster. Your nipples will become really sore and your boobs will end up sagging.
If your really tired all the time, maybe you should pump and have someone else feed the baby so you can go and take an extra long nap.

Symptoms of ______ what? when breastfeeding? Do you mean, symptoms of another pregnancy? If so, a woman would become very tired because her body would be trying to produce milk and make an arm. ;) I hope you're not asking if there are symptoms (signs) that a woman is breastfeeding. Leaking breasts, nursing bras, baby on the breast, etc. would be clues.

Having a baby makes you tired, the breastfeeding actually helps since lactation produces 'happy hormones' as a lactation consultant I had once called them.
As for being hungry.. um, ya.. alot. That is nowhere in anybook. I said something to a friend of mine (our babies were 3 weeks apart) a few years back. She agreed, she had already nursed 3 babies before we had ours together and she said she never lost baby weight from nursing because she was too hungry to.
Happy feeding

Breastfeeding: Side Effects

Moms who breastfeed may experience:

Nipple soreness
Breast engorgement
Leaking breasts
Let-down reflex (other than during breastfeeding)
Inadequate milk supply
Difficulty knowing how much milk the baby is drinking

Moms who breastfeed their babies may feel:

Confused by lack of experience or support
Afraid or ashamed to ask for help for such a "natural" activity
Overwhelmed by the time commitment
Exhausted by the frequent feedings (every 2 to 3 hours, day and night)
Socially isolated from other relationships and activities
Frightened by conflicting emotions of enjoyment and resentment

I breastfeed both of my children. Trust me, they ween themselves before you even know it!! Enjoy the closest bonding you will ever have with your child.

Son: 12 months of Breastfeeding (he weened himself ON his birthday)
Daughter: 16 Months Breastfeeding

taking care of a baby makes you tired, not breastfeeding. The only "Symptoms" can be soreness or fullness.

i've breastfeed for 2 years. that was the limit for me.
I lost alot of weight when breastfeeding. it can make you hungry, verrrrry tired/sleepy, very thirsty. When you get sick, you should still breastfeed your child for them to build immunity.
Eating oatmeal every day will increase milk flow. If you are thirsty, drink lotss and lots of water too. Juices and milk is fine but try to drink lots of water. Don't drink any caffeine, otherwise it will decrease the milk flow.

I've heard that when a baby cries...any baby...your milk will come down and you'll likely spot your shirt.

Also, I'd guess they'd feel heavier with the milk supply, not to mention the obvious symptom of a blanket over you and the wee one.

You lactate for one......
When I nurse my daughter I usually get really thirsty, and I find myself eating more but maintaining my weight.
