Astrology is a practice based off the claim that the position of planets and other heavenly bodies can have a governing effect on people's personality and other outcomes in their lives, based off of those planets' relative positions on a given day and where they were at the time of one's birth. But yes, mathematics is used to calculate the positions of planets in the solar system and star constellations in the night sky. Though astrologers have to make further claims that go beyond math, such as which planets allegedly rule which kinds of emotions, and how that supposedly effects somebody born under a certain zodiac sign. They also need to have the writting skills to write out their findings in layman's terms for a horoscope or astrology chart.
I think it's worth pointing out that several centuries ago, astrology and astronomy were not considered that drastically different from each other. In medieval times it was typical for kings to have a "mathematicus", or a person who was an expert on astronomy (the purely scientific study of heavenly bodies), astrology (the practice of relating astronomy to personal events), and mathematics. So in those days some of the best mathematicians were "court astrologers". Famous mathematicians like Galileo and Kepler fell into that "mathematicus" category, but they also discovered some very important math formulae that relate to planetary motion.

Yes and no. Astrology is an unproven science, though some people believe in it. I wouldn't say it's related, a better way to put it would be:

Astronomy is a legitimate scientific study about planets and such. It has it's relationships to mathematics.
