The weather in McAllen and the Valley in general is very very nice in the winter. That s why you see so many "winter Texans" there. Lots of fresh produce, especially grapefruit, and some of the best "birding" on the world. The summer can get pretty hot, Cost of living is relatively low.

I think that moving to mcallen texas is not a bad thing because it is fun visiting the zoo

Love Texas, you will not regret your move. We are living on Galveston Island and we really adore it here.
