We've been married for 2 years with a daughter almost 3, and an 8 mo son. Recently the children were in bed early and we got frisky downstairs (not the norm). Hubby wanted to do something different, kinda freaky (not too bad, but won't go into details). He started getting shy and appeared ashamed for even mentioning it! I was all for something new! Is this behavior normal for a husband, maybe who has gotten into a rut? Or is it just MY hubby trying to hold onto my "innocence"?

While it may be normal it sounds like he's got issues with sex and it's probably the cause of this sexual rut you two are in. Thinking that sex is bad or dirty or that you can somehow lose your innocence through sex is not a healthy attitude to have about sex. You should talk to him about why he appeared shy and ashamed and work it out. If you feel his sexual issues are something you can't handle on your own, you might want to consult a therapist together.

Schedule a weekend for the kids to go see grandma and bake some cookies in just an apron. That may just get you out of "the rut."

It was something new and he was prolly unsure of your reaction to the thought of it...... Just tell your husband that you are ready to do new things and stuff that way he will feel at ease for asking you to do the things he is shy about......

Because some women are kinda bitchy when it comes to something new in the sex life that they dont know alot about or how that thought even crossed thier old mans minds,,,

Have Fun

I cant really help you out but all I can do is offer your reassurance. As my husband whom I have been with (not married the whole time) for seven years is rather prudish. And I am not. I mean I am not 'out there' but I walk around naked and dont mind trying new things. My husband and I do not discuss sex. But our relationship is amazing. I dont know. But as long as you guys love each other you should be able to talk about it. Good luck.
