You do when someone comes in the middle of the night and wakes you up.
I stayed at a motel once had a man in our room, my daughter was sick and throwing up. I thought it was her at first. Then in the morning, I found out from the desk clerk that they had a master key stolen the day before and others reported it as well.
So Yes, I do check every door and window and have for over 30 years now.

yes, probably 3 times and i live in one of the most safest cities in America and I still check. stupidity ofleaving your doors unlocked leaves the door open for predators

yes. i also make sure the dog is very hungry in case someone gets through a door or a window!

I'm not real strict about it as I should be. I have 2 huge dogs and the minute someone hits the backs steps they go crazy.
