What does it mean when a restaurant manager approaches you and (without warning) asks you to leave a party? Do bartenders keep such close tabs on how much people are drinking (rather unusual) or would this have been someone at the party asking to have me ejected?

I was not very drunk at all, after only three drinks, and I weigh more than 200 pounds. This was the first time I've ever been ejected from any party anywhere in my life, for any reason (and I'm 36).

Are bouncers, bartenders or managers required by law to give you the exact reasons why you are requested to leave their premises? I was not given one and was forcefully intimidated into leaving immediately without being given additional information.

My guess is you angered someone at the restuarant in some way. I don't think they were concerned about how much you drank. Maybe they were mistaken with someone else. Did you hit on the manager's wife or do something that didn't seem bad that someone else could have taken offense to? Strange the manager didn't tell you the reason.

Bartenders don't have to give you a reason for kicking you out and keeping the drunk in. Yes, sometimes they end up watching particular people more close than others. This was probably your case.

My guess is you were a jerk,
No one admits to being belligerent after only three drinks,--everyone else in the room sees what the drunk can't.
Show them who's boss--don't spend any more money at that location. I'm sure everyone will be happier.

you must have done something like bump into or knock a drink out of a regulars hand its possible they just did not like your demeaner . there are quite a few ill-thought up reasons bouncers have. just think that if you were wrog for them they most assuradly are wrong for you

It sounds like it may have been discrimination, but it depends on how busy they were and whether or not they felt that you were just taking up space

I would say it sounds more like someone had a problem with you and your drinking wasn't it.
