No, it is highly suggested that you avoid taking Tylenol pm. The contents of the medication have not been evaluated on a high enough level to rule exactly what factors it has on the baby.

You can, however, take the minimum dosage of regular strength Tylenol (Acetaminophen) occasional during pregnancy. ALWAYS CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST! And AVOID IBUPROFEN at all costs! It is much more dangeous to the developing fetus.

first of all, questions as important as this that concern the health of your baby, should not be asked on a website where at least half the answers are factually wrong. And here's what it says on the tylenol website

Can I use Tylenol PM if I'm pregnant or nursing?
If you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using Tylenol PM.

I've had 2 children. Both are perfectly healthy and normal.
I took Tylenol Extra Strength at least twice a day during both my pregnancies. I took Tylenol PM at night, too, quite often.
I had really bad migranies, arthritis pain, high blood pressure,
and a few other things during the pregnancies. The list of Meds I took was extensive. My perinatologist and OB/GYN both said the Tylenol Extra Strength and Tylenol PM was fine.

No, it incredibly is incredibly urged which you ward off taking Tylenol pm. The contents of the therapy have not got to any extent further been evaluated on a ideal sufficient point to rule precisely what components it has on the toddler. you may, although, take the minimum dosage of secure stress Tylenol (Acetaminophen) occasional for the size of being pregnant. continuously verify with your physician FIRST! And ward off IBUPROFEN in any know costs! it is so plenty greater dangeous to the construction fetus.

Here's the answer from my pharmacist husband:

No. The reason why: The "PM" is diphenhydramine. It is an antihistamine and antihistamines have been implicated as a potential teratogen (something that causes birth defects).

Regular tylenol is fine. During my pregnancy, my husband wouldn't allow me to take antihistamines of any kind.

You know what. the best answer here for you would be to wait and ask your Dr. It would be easier to believe what he/she tells you and then you will probably feel better and more reassured.
I was told only tylenol regular strength and nothing else during my pregnancy. Again best bet talk to the doc.
Good luck to you

I've heard yes and I have heard no. My DR gave me a list of OK meds and told me only regular strength Tylenol... no PM, no extra strength... so I would go with no...

Yes, I was allowed when I was pregnant with both of my children. Read the label, and consult your doctor with any questions. If you are taking it just for the sleeping med, try and over the counter sleeping med or herbal remedy to avoid the acetaminophen if you don't have pain.
