Yea!!! I had an orange kneed tarantula for about 2 years. he ate crickets until he was big enough for the pinkies. I enjoyed him a lot! Very low maintenance pet that will give you years of enjoyment.

I had a pet tarantula - she was about 20 years old when she died. When she molted it was so cool! She'd lay on her back and slowly "push" the old skin right off. Fed her crickets - they will only eat moving live food. I swear she loved to scare the hoo-hah out of me by climbing up the terrarium walls and scratching on the wire top. She was great. Quiet pet.
