I got my period last month on the 7th. Around 30 day cycles, making me around 8, 9 days late. I had a stressful month, but I dont think I should be this late because of stress. I have taken 3 tests. I took one first response test on the 6th day late, one on the 7th day late, and a nurse at my college took another on the 8th day late. All negative... But I still have no period. I am an extremely nervous person and I cant do anything while this is going on, which I know is making it worse. I'm not sure what to do. Although my partner never came in me, and 70 percent of the time used protection I knwo theres still a chance and I know im stupid. Trust me I know. Im just looking for answers as to why I havent had it yet. Could I still be pregnant? Or is this just stress? Has this happend to anyone? Please help. Anything will help.

I think it may be stress because it can effect our body a great deal...believe me. Try relaxing a bit...take things nice and slow for now and see what happens. If you don't get your period by the end of next week then may be it's best that you go see your doctor. Goodluck.

When I was in my 20's and 30's, my period would be up to 3 weeks late several times a year. I know that sometimes working closely with other women will cause your period to either come sooner or later. It's scientifically documented that women who live or work together in close quarters will begin cycling at the same time. Stress can cause your period to be late or skipped. If you really think you're pregnant, you can get a blood test to be certain, or take a urine test at the Dr.'s, since their urine tests are far more sensitive than the over the counter tests. Good luck!

I hope you can find some peace Hun. What will you do if you are? What will you do if you are not. Since you are a nervous person I would advise you to be more careful from now on you don't want to go through this again, Imagine having a surprise baby then 2 months later on the pill baby #2 surprise! then tubes tied and 2 months after my 2nd finding out I had a tubal pregnancy I have had the worst luck but the most beutiful children. It may feel like the end of the world yet it will always work out in the end.

Stress can very well make you late. BUT you could still be pregnant. That happened to me with my last son. ALL of my at home tests came out negative. I tried every brand because I had been pregnant before I knew the symptoms and didn't know why they were all negative. )With my first son I tested positive BEFORE my missed period.) After about 2 weeks I gave up and went to the doctor thinking I was sick ... turns out I was 2 MONTHS pregnant! :) Best to go to the doctor ... whether you are pregnant or not it is probably the only thing that will put you at ease...

Okay, hun I can feel your anxiety like you were sitting right next to me! Try to calm down. It is very possible that you have missed your period due to stress--I've had it happen twice to me in the last year, and it had never had happened anytime before in over 10 years. (I stress the same way it sounds like you do.) Stress has a funny way of reacting with your body. With as late as you are I would just to east your mind make a doctors appointment to get a professional test done, and if it is negative talk to him about missing your period. Good luck.

If I were you, I'd go have my blood tested. That's how i found out i was pregnant. I dont know how many tests i took that were negative. It took me a long time before i got up the guts to go to the doctor because i wass afraid something was seriously wrong with me.... I was 5 months pregnant. Trusts me, you dont want to wait. Blood tests are 100 percent and they offer them at places like planned parenthood they just cost a little more and take longer to get the results. Its worth it though. Good luck.

please don't stress! You are not doing yourself any favours by this anxiety you have! Always, always see your Doctor if you are concerned. They will help you if you explain the situation. They are trained to handle this sort of thing. As it happens, my partner and I have been trying for our second child for some time now, the more I worry, the more my period seems to be late. A blood test is the best way to find out for sure.

Most likely it is the stress level...This has happened to me...usually our cycles fluctuate a few days anyways and that could be part of the answer also...If you think your that late and the test all show negative...then they are telling the truth =] although sometimes its hard to believe!

Generally speaking, after 8 days past your expected period, you should probably be getting a positive on your test by now. If you really want to put your mind at ease, see your OB/GYN for a blood test. They will be able to tell you for sure one way or the other.
