Anyone know where I can purchase a treasure chest toy box for kids? Look around on the net and can only find them to be priced at over a hundred dollars. Appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you.

It depends on the size, material, and level of safety. Most newer boxes have anti-shut ids to prevent finger pinching... If you're looking for an heirloom quality wooden one, then YES an investment of over $100 will be required. But if you just need a place to stash what kids usually toss here and there daily... then definitely get the fabric treasure chest one, complete with velcro lock from IKEA... Their website is no good... so you might want to check out a local store and call or ask... It is called Minnen chest and there is a matching castle looking mirror that was sold separately. My son has a set and so does my nephew... They LOVE them and always play with the chest than with the toys inside. Much Luck!!!

Check out some unfinished furniture stores. It wouldn't take much time at all to finish it off with a little stain varnish.
