I'm having really acute pain in my lower back on the right side that continues around to my front, still only right side though. I'm 22 weeks pregnant. Any suggestions? NOT round ligament pain and NOT sciatica, I know what those feel like and this isn't it. This is my third pregnancy. Clueless and worried.

could be a kidney stone/kidney infection... I developed them with both pregnancies.. its supposedly quite common with pregnancy, and is EXTREMELY painfull. It is on your lower back, right under your ribs.. most often only on one side or the other. It is treated with antibiotics your doctor will prescribe after checking your urine for infection.
...also could be Braxton Hicks contractions, which are random and painfull... but if this is your third pregnancy, I'm sure you know of those!! Good luck

I'm just one week ahead of you in my pregnancy and I have no clue... all I can think of is a pinched nerve. I have also had RL pains that went to my back though, but I'm sure with this being your 3rd pregnancy you can differentiate them. Ask your doctor, but things should be well for you... The body surely does some crazy things while pregnant.

I had pain in my lower left side early on as well - it turned out that it was the left ovary that had released the egg that was then later fertilized. The ovary was then swollen, and kind of felt like I was ovulating all of the time. The pain came and went - I don't remember with what frequency, but I remember it clearly. When they did my 9-week ultrasound, they showed me the size difference between ovaries, and it was much more tender on the left side. I don't think the pain lasted long, so hang in there! And of course, if it becomes serious pain, call your OB.
