Limewire is good and its totally free. You could also try ARES at ares.com . Anyway if you are looking for downloading just one song you should keep LimeWire.
But..
If you are looking forward to download entire albums you should tray bit torrent technology.
First you need to download the Bit torrent client like Azureus (Azureus.com) and then you should search for your music in an bit torrent search engine, like piratebay.org
finally you download the torrent and open it with azureus, then it should start downloading.

Limewire is totally free, the one you have to pay is Limewire Pro. If you don't like it, switch to Emule. My favorite is Emule, because in Limewire I can't download full cds, I have to download them song by song but with Emule I can download almost anything, even books.

dont know exactly wich limewire you have. bout go to limewire.com they let you download free software for absolutely free p2p songs donload. I've tried a lot and none as limewire. they even had an update option for faster downloads.

limewire is absolutely free. you only pay for membership if you want the upgraded, super-fast version. i'm on it now, in fact. it's a great place for free music.
