An urban legend claims green M&Ms are an aphrodisiac. To be correct, the red M & M's are the ones that hold the potential to make people "horny". This is because of the Red 40 used in the coloring of Red M & M's, but it takes large amounts of Red 40 consumption to create any significant effect. The irony is, Yellow 5 contributes to the coloring of Green M & M's. Yellow 5 has been known to reduce the sperm count of the male gender when consumed in large amounts.

The truth is: they are green. That's right, I hate to brake it to you that way. Like Kermit the frog would say: Life is hard being green.
