May I suggest you go live in the jungle with the animals for a month and see if you survive? Animals kill for no good reason too, not just man. I doubt you've spent much time communing with the animals in their own habitat or you wouldn't be so insanely misinformed.

Your have a good point. Isn't it amusing that Joseph C thinks that most humans only kill in self defence? I suppose he's not considering the fact that humans slaughter animals in some of the sickest ways possible. Yet it's not really an issue of survival. Since humans can survive with out meat. Yet even if that were the fact so much gets killed that much of it goes to waste. A lot of it goes for items based nothing on survival. Such as fur coats and leather products. I couldn't say who is more inferior but I can say that humans are more currupt.

Many predator animals actually will hunt for sport as well. Dogs, including coyotes and wolves will chase down almost any small animal that runs from them, just like cats, domestic and wild...even if well fed, they are still fascinated with going after something. They will also often fight among themselves to establish dominance or compete for females. I think that the point you should be making is that man is still an animal in so many ways. You would think that we would have evolved a little further...maybe to the point of not seeming to enjoy violence so much. Don't fool yourself...most people enjoy violence. Look at the movies and sports that are most popular.

Animals kill for food or survival. There are no morals to it. Humans can reason and think We know right from wrong and we have free will to choose which. Human nature is more evil than good.

Animals are not subject to the spiritual forces of good and evil, but are only governed by their instincts.
Decent people don't want to kill others (but will in defense) and it is only the evil ones who actually want to kill or harm people.

Many animals kill for the pleasure of the hunt. Take cats. Few humans kill without reason, even if you don't like the reasons they have.

wow...too many flaws in your argument to count! first of all animals do not have morals or beliefs...they live by instinct and fear. they eat each other to survive and they do fight and kill to demonstrate dominance should humans do that? wow you should have thought about this one longer before posting. i could go on but what i wrote does more then enough to disprove your whole theory.
sorry bro

I like yr questions and in some ways, animals are far superior to man for the very reason you list-morals. they know how to love unconditionally a lot easier than we do.

Because they live on instinct and we live on intellect. We know right from wrong because we are above them. We have the ability to plan evil because we have the brainpower to know what it is.
We, therefore, are not animals. We are unique and very human.

you're anthropomorphizing. animals are not inferior to humans and the only people who say they are, happen to be people.
