Rip it out and buy a brand name. Even a Mansfield at home depot is around $80.00 or spend $100 .00 try to fix the one you have.

whats thee to trouble shoot?
all toilets pretty much have the same set of working mechanicals
so it's easy to get them working
the only difference is the low gpm models, is that some are better flushers than others.

If'n that crappers given you trouble?, its best to just shoot it. A scattergun would work best.
