THATS 4 OR 5 TIMES WHAT I DID BUT I HAD A C AVERAGE. THE EMPASIS SHOULD BE ON WHAT YOUR LEARNING NOT HOW MUCH TIME YOUR INVESTING. IF IT TAKES 40 HOURS OF STUDYING TO MAINTAIN A 4POINT AVERAGE THEN DO IT. YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID.
GOD BLESS

When taking 4 classes, 1 of them I made sure was easy, so I really only had 3 to study for religiously and I spent 20 - 30 hours a week outside of the classroom, either in the lab or just studying, typing notes, etc.

I studied anywhere from 10 to 40 hours per week...
Varied depending on assignments, and what classes I was taking. In some cases I never even opened a book (still have some shrink wrapped), in other cases (during my Masters program) I was spending 20 to 40, sometimes more, hours per week reading, writing and in discussions.
So twenty hours seems reasonable to me.

For four classes of not too great a difficulty level that is about right. I studied upwards of 40 to 50 when I was taking chemistry, finance, business stats, computer science and calculus...that was the worst semester.

That sounds about right. I have the same situation, four classes and I would estimate about 20 hours of studying, paper writing and homework outside of class.

it depends on what classes you are taking. Last semester I spent about 7-8 hours a week (longer for weeks with tests), and this semester I spent about 3 (which sadly shows from the grades I made...)

I'm studying online and I average about 2 hours per weekday. That's 10 hours, but my case is a little different.

I spend about as much time playing video games as I should be studying, I can't really retain information. About an hour a day, but not even.

It depends on how your professors create their exams. Most of my tests were from lectures so I just paid attention in class. But as long as you are doing well in your course....keep up the good study habits!
