The sun is a star, but if you consider it as a planet and place the planets on pegs starting from the center out, Saturn (A) would be the 7th.

The sun is a star. Known (and accepted ) planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Pluto has recently been voted out - because continuing to include Pluto as a planet would have, logically, required the inclusion of other bodies as planets... bodies which are sorta' like Pluto - but everyone knew THEY aren't planets. What is peg 7? If the sun is peg1 I guess Saturn is #7. If the sun is sort of the 0 point, Uranus is #7. Neither is a given option.

Starting from the Sun as the center of the Solar System, the Planets are:
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
*Pluto
* Pluto is being downgraded to a non-planet category but there is still discussion as to whether the change will stick.
So in your sticks model, the sun is on stick 1, Mercury on 2, Venus on 3, Earth on 4 .. an so on out through the system.

The sun is a star, not a planet!
For peg #7 taking into account the sun being on peg #1 and the planets continuing, peg #7 would be A. saturn.

Your science teacher doesn't have a brain.
Sun is a star.
The order of the nine planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto
Now NASA discovered a new planet: Planet X

First off, learn how to type. That question is ridiculous.
Second, the sun is a star.
Third, none of those answers make sense. Uranus should be number seven. The order is: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto.
Although Pluto technically is not a planet any more.

The sun IS NOT a planet. Beginning with Mercury and going outward from the sun;
1) Mercury
2) Venus
3) Earth
4) Mars
5) Jupiter
6) Saturn
7) Uranus
8) Neptune
it's up to you to add 9) Pluto since it was recently removed from the list of planets since it no longer fits the accepted definition of a planet.

The sun is definitely a Star.
The question doesn't seem to say that the sun is a planet, merely that the sudent is building a model of the solar system. If you have nine planets, you get 10 pegs because you have to put the sun at the center...
With that, look up the answer on this site:

The Sun is not a planet, so planet #7 is Uranus. Unless you consider the asteroid Ceres a planet, in which case Saturn would be #7.
