To me
Love means, Joy, Happiness,
Butterflies (in the Stomach)
Giggles and Laughter
Hugs and stolen kisses and Hand-holding,
staring into the soul through the open windows of dark brown eyes. The Smell of fresh wash hair and to dream of moments in silence together on a broken wall watching the sun slip golden red into the western sea.

The word love is wayyyy over used.
The most unconditional love in the world is the love a mother has for her child.
If you are talking about loving another person as a partner, sweetie if you have to ask, it's not love. If it is true love, it will come down crashing on you like a thunderbolt and there will be no doubt. But don't confuse love with lust, it's two entirely different things.

Love is the best thing that can happen to a person. Being in love is great. Love is unconditional. But unfortunately many people play at love in order to get something out of someone. This is not love.

Love is a very strong feeling of affection. Love is created by hormones in the brain, telling the person if they like somebody. Love cannot easily be described for it is a mix of emotions, people can love and be loved in different ways.

Love is the attraction of one person to another person, object or sensation. Some people believe in love at first sight, while others believe in a love that takes time to grow and become great. It has the power to drive one to greater actions, sometimes crazy actions.

The basis for all love is respect, esteem, and admiration. Respect must be present in order for love to germinate and grow. One cannot love someone or something one disrespects, hates, or loathes.

"Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence."
~Erich Fromm~

Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I have to believe that love fits into the bigger picture of things.

here's what love means to me:

love requires hard work because it is the greatest of all virtues--the mix of all virtues will result in love. these virtues are faith, loyalty, patience, selflessness, commitance, kindness, honesty, respect, you-name-it. when you love, you will be happy too :)

why is it hard work? because to truly love someone, one has to work on their virtues (eg. be more patient, selfless, honest, etc.). when they have changed themselves FIRST, their example will inspire others to change themselvest too (remember you can't expect someone else to change when you yourself haven't changed yourself)

love requires daily work, that's why it is hard to attain. don't you agree? :)
