So, Ted, did you go to the Christmas Love Hotel with a happy little Christmas Elf on Christmas Eve, like all the other single Japanese?

And no, Christmas is not a religious Holiday, it is a secular Holiday designed to make merchants, bankers, lenders, and musicians wealthier.

And as an Atheist, I don't celebrate Christmas, I enjoy the Holidays, spend enought to raise the GNP, and generally laugh myself silly at all the Christians who want to put christ back into christmas.

LMAO ROFL ...

Happy Holidays, Seasons greetings, merry ChristmaHannaKwaanzakuhs to you all, and 明けましておめでとうございますー今年もよろしくお願いします。

I'm Jewish. If someone wants to invite me to a non-religious Christmas party (a lot of fun, free food, and free drinks), or give me Christmas gifts or Christmas bonuses, I'm happy to accept.

As far as the music, its sickening and I can't stand it. I can't stand the decorations, the music, or the Christmas themes of my favorite TV shows. The only song I will listen to is the "Jingle Bells" version "sung" by barking dogs.

It is annoying that a one day holiday is celebrated for approximately 6 weeks. Many stores put up a Hanukkah menorah to make it look like they are being respectful, except that usually they do not have the correct number of candles/light bulbs lit, or it is inappropriately displayed before the holiday starts or after it ends. Some Jewish holidays are 8 days long, but we only celebrate them during those 8 days.

It seems that Christians think they have the right to do whatever they want because they are in the majority, and this applies to everyday life as well as politics. I live in a garden apartment complex, and people seem to think it is ok to put wreaths on shared entrance doors, decorate shared lawns, etc. Luckily my Christian downstairs neighbors don't try to do that - if they did I'd ask them to take it down.

Why not, since the Christmas spirits permeate just about everywhere, from decorations to radio stations. Just because atheist doesn't believe the existence of G-d doesn't mean they cannot party. Atheist wouldn't want to be Scrooge and spoil their Xtians friends mood
Atheists still has to take a break once in a while and it is easiest when everyone else is holidaying also.
Anyway, Christians also enjoy other religious holidays (in Singapore like the Chinese New Year) for the time off it gives them
Lastly, Christmas is a pagan holiday anywhere, with a Christian branding thats all

Christmas is more then just about God. I was raised that Christmas was about being with family and friends. Why can't an atheist celebrate Christmas? Why should they not celebrate? Why is it ok for everyone else to and not them? I don't know that there is a God I have my doubts, but I'm not saying there isn't a God either. Matter of fact if someone went in a church and said if you believe in God you are going to be killed how many would admit it? How many people say they believe in God then put in a situation and all of a sudden they don't. It's not just atheist that shouldn't celebrate if you look at it that way.

Athiests still celebrate Christmas with the gift giving and recieving, but they don't believe in the real reason for the season. Just like many Christians "celebrate" Halloween by going trick-or-treating and whatnot.

Oh, and one more thing ALAN S, I see that you take full advantage of the gifts, parties and bonuses that are associated with Christmas. That is greedy and you are a butthead! Either like Christmas or hate it, but don't think it's here for your benefit just because people give you a gift.

Yup. But I skip the Carols and nonsense and cut straight to the cakes and presents.

Mostly atheists celebrate it anyway. Anyone who is a true Christan won't touch it.
