Do I sound like an EMO person?

today at school i was sneaking into the lunch room (im 14 btw) and i overheard this group of ppl saying to my gf 'why dont you hang out with your emo bf' i do where tight pants and cry alot but im not depressed and my gf isnt emo at all what should i say or do

Most people are too shut up like clams to have any real feelings and probably hate that you can at least cry, I don't know your problems (if you have them) but just ignore it. People will criticize you for not being like them and if you do change, you'll be picked on for not being original by some other group.

Do you look EMO? (Geez I hope I have the definition right in my head.) Do you have black hair (possibly dyed). Wear black clothes. Listen to songs about death and dying and depression. Do you get emotional a lot. Do you cry in public. How tight are your pants (this matters because a lot of EMO people wear goth pants). . .why were you "sneaking" into the lunchroom?

(In my opinion (which doesn't matter to a lot of people) I think there are different classifications of EMO. First of all, I think people can be psychologically EMO without the looks (I kind of am. . .though people say you can't be EMO if you admit to it). You can look EMO (which many people consider poser EMO(which doesn't sound like you at all)) but that's just for "the look" w/o being psychologically EMO. And finally there's "all out EMO" which it the whole caboodle.)

Okay I am so lost....what does EMO stand for? I have seen this all over Yahoo Answers. I guess I am behind the times.

u sound emo. but us emos should be proud. be glad ur not a poser and dont try to change urself. okay? preps will b preps, nerds will be nerds and emos will be emos.
