All Things Bright and Beatiful. I first heard about this Hymn years
ago from the Title of The Vet Stories on Television, The James
Herriott Saga of The Yorkshire Moors Area in The late 1930s_40s.I loved those Stories very much, and when I heard the
Hymn I enjoyed that as well simple and concise.
All things Bright and Beautifuf, all Creatures great and small.
All Things Bright and Wonderful The Lord God Made Them All.

Cool! That just happens to be my favorite, too. That was the song that popped into my head when I finally accepted Jesus. It's been my favorite since then. I also really like the story behind it. *EDIT* My second favorite is the Hallelujah Chorus. I really liked that one ever since I first sang it in a school choir a couple of years ago. That song is the best tradition of the music department at the high school I go to. Every year for the Christmas concert, all the choirs sing the song together at the end of the concert, accompanied by the advanced orchestra. Just being part of that huge wall of sound is awesome. But, Amazing Grace is still my favorite. :)

Well I'm Catholic so we listen to some pretty traditional hymns. Some of my favorite are: "Sing a New Church," "Here I Am, Lord," and several spanish ones such as "Pescador de Hombres" (there's an english version too but I can't remember it at the moment).

Lift High the Cross: Have not heard it in years as the Church I go to now uses current music as opposed to hymns, but it still comes to mind on a fairly regular basis.

One of them is This is my fathers world and the reason is because it is the first hymn I remember hearing as a very small child in my church and it makes me feel safe, like a child in church again This is my fathers world and to my listening ears the hopes and fears of all the years are gone when He is near

"It Is Well (with my soul)" because it affirms that your faith will sustain you through extreme grief, loss, pain, and tragedy. I dont know the name of the composer, but he was a man who wrote this hymn while travelling by ship over the spot where his wife and daughter had perished in a shipwreck years before.

Rock of ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee.
I like this song because in this world we live in, we need a cleft to protect us.
