Everyone of us see dreams. Well you will find the similar question being asked by so many ppl. I am not wondering, why I can not remember my dreams. no one ever !! However, sometimes I fee that I have seen exactly that things happening, sometimes, before in my dreams. When I wake up, I couldnt remember it. But as it happens at the right time, I feel like " ohh man, I had seen it...exactly as it is..the time, location even people too are exactly as I had seen it in my dream." My question is, do you guys pass through the same situation? What is it called? Can we predict our future if in any case we remember our dreams ? Is this a sign of something good or bad that happens to you ? Please answer this questions if you really know about it.

Yep, I know what you mean ,that weird freaky **** up deja vu feeling. If you go far enough into your dreams you'll probably discover more. I was laying on my bed once watching tv when all of a sudden (before it happened) I had something flash in front of my eyes about the show and two seconds later it happened. This is the reason I think not many people want to remember their dreams, they find out they can tell the future and bam, god's existence is kinda harder to prove, if you know the future you can change it for the better.

There is a belief that every thought you percieve is stored in what is called the Astral Realm. Every millionth of a second you are taking snap shots of what is around you and storing it in the astral realm. This is where your true mind is not your small mind. When you sleep it is believed that you leave your body and enter the astral realm. Once there you have access to all the information that is stored as 'memory' plus more. I wont get into that now. When you remember a dream you are becoming conscious during it and your mental mind is noting and remembering what you see. Hence you remember when you wake up. You can also find information on this by doing a google or yahoo (had to add that) search for Lucid Dreaming or Out of Body Experiences OBE. Just ignore the practicals as most of the websites tend to sugar coat things. However the general idea of crossing over to the dream world is there. They say that if you walk around all day asking yourself if you are dreaming you will eventually remain calm when you become aware you are dreaming and your dream experiences will be a lot better. Also keeping a journal by your bed and writing down your dreams can also help you recalling them. There are some deeper meditation exercises you can do but I will let you search them out if you want to go down that track.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that the things you think about the most are closest to you in the astral realm. ie if you are at the centre of a massive sphere then the memories that you think about the most are closest to the centre. The less you think about things the further they travel out etc. So when you dream you are more likely to dream about things that are strong emotions in your life or things that have really made an impression on you. Apparently and I say apparently because I havent experienced it yet. You can share dreams with other people also.

Also do a search on the Akashic Records for future / past predictions and the astral realm.

Best of luck

This is called:
deja-vu

It happens to many people, except to predict the future--you would need to know which dreams to pay attention to. Most people forget their dreams and in order not to, it is recommended to keep a pen and paper near your bed to jot down what it was about. Also, it has been proven that dreams last only 15 seconds. Through the course of a night, many 15-second dreams play, so people tend to remember only the most recent ones.

" Prophetic " Dreams

The highest dreams are called Prophetic dreams These dreams are usually very clear and unambiguous and are easily remembered. As their name implies Prophetic dreams are those that accurately foresee the future. They are the result of a complete connection to the 99 percent realm and are usually received by those who have made a lifelong commitment to spiritual transformation.

There are two kinds of Prophetic dreams --Positive and Negative. A positive prophetic dream foretells of some good that will occur. A negative prophetic dream threatens chaos, destruction, or disease. Positive prophecy is immutable; it will happen. Negative prophecy can, on the other hand be acted upon and changed.

You have to first understand what dreams are. Your brain contains neural inhibitors, that are active while you are awake. These inhibitors prevent your senses from creating hallucinations. See, it would be maladaptive for a being to mistake the memory of a predator, for an actual preditor. If that were the case, and it were not for these inhibitors, you would run and hide everytime you had a scary thought. The inhibitors, are themselves inhibited during R.E.M. Sleep, when you awake your inhibitors kick back in attempting to "Protect you" from these un real thoughts.

That's happened to me before. You probably finished the dream before you woke up. I've heard that if you wake in the middle of a dream you are more likely to remember it.

Methinks the term you're looking for is Deja Vu. As for dreams in general, I find that I remember my dreams during periods of heightened emotion in my life, e.g. times when I'm extremely happy or very sad. Our dreams are usually manifestations of emotions or situations that are stressors or increase our sense of well-being. They help you sort through these things and relax...a kind of filter system to keep your emotions from exploding.

My sister is taking a psychology class in hs. they're currently working on "training" themselves to remember dreams. what she's doing is- the night before, she concentrates and thinks to herself that she will remember the dream. then in the morning..thinks hard to remember the dream. I don't know if this actually works or not- I've never tried it myself...but she claims it does ;). sorry
