My comp is full of viruses and spyware and I want to know a way to take it back to its "factory conditions". I know how to system restore but thats not the problem, I need to reset my whole computer so all my info on it is deleted and it is brand new. Can anyone tell me how to do that, or if its possible?

You could try doing a reformat, you will lose everything but it will restore the computer to it,s original specifications. I have done it before but can,t recall exactly how right now but I found the information on the web.

If you are using a pc, you should find the operating system disk that came with your computer when you purchased it. If you restart with the disk in the drive, it should give you the option to reformat your hard drive. If you reformat, you will also need the drivers disk that also accompanied your computer. After you reinstall the operating system, insert these disks into your cd-rom drive, and they should run a wizard to help you install the drivers. Often, computers will need the drivers reinstalled to enable your Internet connection and other necessary components of your computer.
This is an extreme option, and I highly recommend that you attempt to run anti-virus and anti-spyware before deleting the entire contents of your computer. Also, attempt to contact the company through which you purchased either your computer, operating system, or both.

There might have been some CDs or a DVD that came with your PC that are called Recovery CD or DVD. If you have all of your information off of the PC, put the recovery CD #1 or the DVD in your cd or dvd drive and then reboot. The PC should boot off of the disc and should give you the option to format and restore your pc.

If your PC didn't come with recovery discs, look at your options when you reboot and see if there is anything about a recovery mode. You will need to press the key that it shows when you reboot.
