I believe in Global Warming, but I don't believe it is an issue.

IT HAS BEEN SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN THAT THE EARTHS AVERAGE SURFACE TEMPERATURE DOES A NORMAL RISE AND FALL EVERY FEW HUNDRED YEARS. <( Of course this study was swept under the rug.) This is going to happen as a natural course of nature. If any of us could live to be several hundred years old we would see a decline in the earths average surface temperature and then humanity will be worried about global cooling and an ice age.(Ask on any truly scientific forum about how many times the earth has gone through an ice age.)

This doesn't mean that I don't think humanity needs to clean up the mess we are making. Earth's natural processes of erosion, subduction, etc and the fact that man can only live within a narrow band of environmental extremes makes you realize that once the earth reaches a certain temperature and man can no longer live on its surface that we will either die off or move off world and then the earth can and WILL begin the process of healing itself until it reaches a point of equilibrium again. (Of course this is leaving out any unseen events such as our sun going super nova or man returning to inhabit the earths surface.)

Is the planet getting warmer? Studies show that it has gotten warmer over the last 100 years or so. Not by much, but some. The real question being asked is "does MAN cause global warming?" I don't think that has been scientifically proven at all. Sunspot activity has been tied to higher temperatures on earth and man has nothing to do with that, as far as I know. I believe that the climate goes through large-scale trends and changes. We are now in a warming trend. I too remember when "scientists" were predicting another ice age. I also remember a day when I heard both a prediction for a coming ice age AND a prediction for the polar ice caps melting. All in one day!

Becasue I am old enough to remember when "all" scientists agreed that the Earth was on the brink of a new Ice Age. WE were supposed to get ready for glaciers advancing on America's heartland, falling ocean levels and a ave of cold-related animal extinctions.

Also, when the global warming chicken littles talk about things like an upcoming hrricane season, the predict more storms and more violent storms. Ths year there were way fewer than predicted, and they claimed that the DECREASE was evidence that they are right!

If up is down and black is white, then whatever happens "proves" their theory.

The ice age didn't happen, either.

hey, i don't have time to respond to such questions as i'm too busy chasing away all those giraffes from my the front backyard right here in Alaska. yet, for sure, there is not any longer some thing like international warming, so i can keep on leaving all light fixtures, the heating and the computer on when I leave for a three-week airline holiday international. Sorry, i'm operating out of time. I even ought to fill my keep away from Ram 3500 gasoline tank before I leave.

I believe it might (and I emphasize "might") be true. The reason I have my doubts is because I have heard conflicting reports about whether Global Warning really exists and it seems those who do believe it only want to take away everybody else's freedom instead of focusing there energy on how to adapt to it (Or change it if possible)

Assuming it is true.....how do we know it is not just a normal cycle? ...or that the cause could be coming from outer space? There is still a lot we just do not know.......

no I don't believe humans have the impact environmentalist say. Natural disasters cause more polution than mankind. one volcano eruption has been shown to put out more ozone depleting chemicals than humans. Sure 100 years of technology is going to undo Gods creation. LOL
