Am i chinese? or do i actually have chinese blood??
i mean i have some kind of family heirloom which includes lots of jade stuff like bangles..somehow looks very chinese stuff..
i am not chinese .. even my grandma is not sure but she said all the items she got it belongs to the family passed down for many many
generation.. is it true that most chinese will have jade bangle as a symbol of their famiyl or ethnicity?

no i am not chinese i dont have slanted eyes but they are almond shaped.. yes i am very fair sometimes gets mistaken as a pan-asian

i asked my grandparents but they demselves are not sure.. the things are passed down for many2 many generations

Maybe one of your early ancestors was chinese. My parents gave a jade necklace that I am suppose to keep and hand down to my kids later on...But not every chinese family has a jade as a family heirloom. Or maybe someone in your family just liked to collect Chinese stuff...

Maybe you could take the bangles to an antique dealer or an apraiser, someone who would know the history behind items. They might be able to give you more info. I wouldn't jump to saying your chinese since someone in your family might have been a collector or maybe traveled a lot.

Having bangles of a certain origin in the family does not mean that you have ancestry from that same origin.
