Whats better is That I am not in prison, Iam a Ex-gang member,Did and seen things people shouldn't need to do or see! If Iwould of stayed in the gang ,I know for sure I would be in prison. When I was in the gang I joined Martial Arts (Wing Chung) Thaught it would be good to know when I wasn't carrying my .45. But I learned more than how to kick-***. I learned self respect, honor, the value of a human life. And most of all Self control and discipline.I learned theres more to life than trying to protect a little peice of property called my neighbour hood. That I didn't need to carry a .45 to get respect. You need to walk with your head held high, no matter what comes your way in life,or what you did in your past, because the past is all about learning from your mistakes. Never back down from anyone or anything, But never go looking for trouble.Life has its ups and downs it all on how you deal with the downs. Always turn a negative into a positive, for yourself and even for the guy you don't even know.Hit everything head-on,always give your all or don't bother doing it. Iam now a 2nd Degree Black Belt, with my own schools across North America. And I give all the credit to GOD....Dont put your problems or excuses on some body else, or hand over responsability, Keep your head up and always think positive. Remember your the one that has to look at your self in the mirror!!!

I'm scared of blackouts because all the things I do involve power and I used to almost lose it when happened. Once, after the power was out for a week, I was depressed for three weeks afterward. Now, I control myself, the power ws recently out for a week (i spent most of it somewhere else but still) and it didn't get to me, it bothered me sure but not like it used. What enables me? I don't like being weak and easliy pushed over by fear. Credit for it? Not god, not someone else, me, I had to do it myself and no one helped me develop my self discipline.

The fact that my flesh is weak to this world's sinful nature meant that I had to give my life to God and practice the self-discipline of prayer to those parts of my life that the devil still attacks.
How does it enhance my life? I view so many things differently and weigh the outcome of the consequences. Sometimes I give in, most times I dont.

Because of self-discipline,
1) I don't eat every white-chocolate macadamia nut cookie in sight (or any other type of cookie or food for that matter)
It's kind of hard to instill in anyone else. . .they think I am crazy. . .but they'll be the ones laughing when I am still slim at an older age.
Obesity is the #1 cause of heart disease in America and can lead to many other problems. Sweets can also lead to both juvenile and adult onsets of diabetes not necessarily hereditary.
I owe it to my parents who never exposed me to many sweets when I was little. Later I carried it on and tend to crave fruit instead (which has healthy sugar (fructose)). Also, I owe it to myself for following through.

1. I have quit letting my emotions and feelings for other people run my life. I can better focus on decisions that I need to make for myself.
2. Be more focused on your education and goals.
3. Learning the hard way that you cannot rely on anyone but yourself for what you want out of life. You cannot be happy unless you make the right choices in life partners, have self respect, and morals. Do not try to fix other people`s problems unless you are prepared for the repercussions of doing so.
4. Myself from making grave mistakes that have cost me emotionally and monetarily. You only have one chance to live your life.

I credit myself and my self-reflection to my discipline along with my parental guidance throughout life.
Reflecting on your actions and try to control some of your bad emotions such as anger, obnoxiusness, or fear of public speaking. Self-confidence also works too.
