When I was a little girl, my mom told me that lipstick would fade my natural lip color. She simply didn't want me to wear makeup. (Didn't work!!)

Darken or fade...both untrue in my experience.

If you're using a matte, highly pigmented and dark lipstick for a prolonged time, it can stain your lips for a short period of time.

This is not perm and it doesn't actually change the colour of your lips - it's just a stain.

You can take it off with a gentle exfoliant.

No--dark lipstick and lip stain can dye the top layer of cells, meaning your lips stay dark for a few weeks, but your skin will shed those layers, and your lips will return to their natural color.

Not true, wear good lipstick not cheap ones but eg Revlon or maybelline is fine, even the Amway lipstick is good.

it depends on the type you are using. it will almost leave a mark, or not completely come off, of just stain them temporerily. to prevent this, use lip gloss or chapstick before applying the lip stick

YES, it's true depending on the type of pigment you use, how dark the shade is, and how long you've been using it

No that is a pipe dream. Unless you have your lips tattooed with your favorite shade, they will remain the same color in their natural state.
