are you taking Calculus II Francisco, jeez your textbook doesn't have an example problem of that equation? a good way to learn math is to research and try to find the answer yourself, you'll be surprised at all the other stuff you discover along the way, as long as nobody distracts and bothers you. also helps if you got a father who makes math problems for the SAT, like my roommate in college (he now has a PhD in physics from Harvard), free thorough tutoring, sometimes you can start going down the wrong path, just for one negative sign (from improper integration, like in Calculus), calculations can fill the page, until look closely then OMG what the F, fully rested helps LOL.

Actually though Math is almost more of a Trade than a Science, Biology and Chemistry things are pretty obvious can be seen in Nature and everyday experiences, Math really helps if you have a Mentor and you are a bit of an Apprentice, it really speeds things along, for math is a bit more than a study of nature, it is also a bit of puzzles and riddles you have to practice at, make sure it is a good mentor who doesn't just confuse you more, even though hard to tell (since if you require a mentor), but probably a good mentor if you progress faster and sees as you, it is all cumulative, repetition helps
